Guests may also bring cold personal lunch items, snacks and beverages; refrigeration and shared dining space are available.

We aim to experience the desert without overwhelming it.
Emotional Support Dogs and other pets are not allowed at Cynthia’s.
Cynthia’s rooms are smoke-free according to California law. This includes cigarettes, cigars, vaping devices, and cannabis. There are designated smoking areas outside the buildings.
Firearms of any kind are strictly prohibited at Cynthia’s basecamp. This includes open carry, concealed carry, or stored in your car.
You are traveling deep into the Mojave Desert.
Weather conditions can include high winds, dust storms, and occasional power outages.
Once you have checked in, weather-related conditions do not qualify for refunds.
Desert weather is part of the experience. When conditions shift, we adjust plans safely and continue as appropriate.
Flash flooding is rare but possible. If highways close due to public safety, travel may be briefly delayed. Should you need to extend your stay because of road closures, a reasonable nightly rate will apply.
