Payment Policy

Payment in full is required at time of booking to secure your tour. 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations up to 21 days prior to arrival will result in a refund of your payment less a 30% cancellation fee. Cancellations made after 21 days prior to arrival will result in forfeiting your payment.

ECO VENUE FOR YOUR EVENT

Payment and cancellation policies vary with each event.

FIELD CAMP FOR EARTH SCIENCE STUDIES 

Cancellations made up to 3 months prior to arrival will result in a refund of your payment less a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations made after 3 months prior to arrival will result in forfeiting your payment.

Cancellation Policy

If weather conditions cause your tour to be cancelled or postponed

We ride in almost all weather conditions. Occasionally extreme weather can cause a tour to be postponed or cancelled, in which case there are 3 options:

• You will receive a voucher to ride at a future time. This voucher must be used within 7 days.
• You have the option to transfer the voucher to a friend. This voucher must be used within 7 days.
• Receive a full refund to your credit card.

If you need to cancel

If your cancellation is at least 72 hours in advance of your tour, you have 3 options:

• Receive a refund less a 20% cancellation fee.
• You will receive a voucher to ride at a future time. This voucher must be used within 7 days.
• You have the option to transfer the voucher to a friend. This voucher must be used within 7 days.

If your cancellation is less than 72 hours in advance of your tour, your payment will not be refunded.

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

Each guest 18 and over must sign a Waiver and Release of Liability before engaging in activities offered by Cynthia’s Safaris LLC or Lost World Tours. A parent or guardian must sign for each minor child.

GENERAL POLICIES

• Emotional Support Dogs and other pets are NOT allowed at Cynthia’s.
• Cynthia’s is a smoke-free facility according to California law. There are designated smoking areas outside the buildings.
• You will be coming deep into the Mojave Desert. Occasionally we have weather-related power outages, high winds, and dust storms. Once you have checked into our facility and these conditions occur, they will not result in a refund of your safari.  Instead, we all hunker down and weather it together and go on with tours.
• Flash flooding is unlikely, but if it occurs during your stay and highways are closed for public safety, your travel plans can be delayed briefly. If this occurs and you need to extend your stay, you will be charged a reasonable per diem rate.
• Firearms of any kind are strictly prohibited at Cynthia’s basecamp.  This includes open carry, concealed carry, or stored in your car.

ACADEMIC FIELD CAMP POLICIES

Students are expected to behave according to their school’s Code of Student Conduct while at Cynthia’s.

Alcoholic beverages and recreational drugs are prohibited during academic field camps at Cynthia’s Basecamp.
